Gwendolyn E. Squires, PhD., is a former elementary/middle school principal having dedicated her entire career of over 45 plus years to public education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Science in Education, an Educational Specialist in School Administration, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration. She is the owner and business director of Tea Time Self-Publishing Services where she supports aspiring authors. She has been a freelance writer since 1984. Her publishing credits include 30 children’s books, news articles, social media platforms, and national journals.
Inspiration for School Day Series
The School Day Series are funny stories about events that take place at Seaside School. They are placed on the main character, megaphone carrying, grumpy, and iron-fist Principal Squires. They are illustrated in bright colors with a sense of playfulness, and inspired by Dr. Squires’ former position as a K-8 principal.

In the community she fosters her leadership skills with Societas Docta, Incorporated, focused on bringing together, motivating, and inspiring women to pursue and achieve doctoral degrees. She is also a member of several philanthropy organizations.
